Group Blog

Hey everyone, it is great to be back and reunited with my group members and create this outstanding full movie task. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I will be reintroducing my group members for this project and explain why I made that selection.  So to begin with, the group members that I worked with last year are Joao N., Enzo P., and Constanza C. This year is going to be a little different with Enzo P. not being including in our task this year unfortunately. As Enzo decided to take a different path in his high school classes and not take A level. However, I am still extremely excited to work with them not only because they are my friends but also I know that they are very productive when It comes to school and from our performance last year. They end up getting their priorites done and are super responsible which is why I am trusting them and continuing to work with them for this exciting new journey.  The roles of each individual have not been selected yet as we didn't have that much time to discuss about that. However, the next time we discuss, selecting our roles will be our first priority so we can organize and have this project flow smoothly like last year. Furthermore, last year me and my group members had different periods, fortunately this year I have the same period with Joao but not Constanza which is better than no one. . We facetimed each other to discuss and pick our new genre that we would be using and brainstorm ideas. This year we are going to have to brainstorm different ideas from last year as we can't use the same topic or style of movie. As we are trying to make our full complete movie captivivating and interesting as possible. Me and my group have gained a lot of experience from last years projects to it should flow more smoothly and quickly this year.  We began researching certain ideas but we will get into further detail whenever we can get together during our break. Last year procastination was a big issue so this year we are trying to work accordingly and get ahead. . Me and my group are all excited to work together once again. I will discuss more on our final decision of what genre we will be using in the next blog as. I feel confident in my group members and myself in working on this movie as we already did once why not do it again. Thank you bloggers for taking some time of your day to read my blog. Title Research: Manhut

 In the film Manhunt they have various titles displayed throughout the opening sequence. These titles include the studio, production company, director and inspiration for the film. The titles also include where the film is taking place. The last title to be shown is the title of the movie itself and then the background changes to a very bright red emphasizing the film title apart from the rest. The images emphasized during the opening sequence are that of terrorists which sets the concept of the movie up and gives the audience an understanding of what they're about to watch. They also show documents that appear to be federal or secretive in the background with more mugshots of terrorist with lines connecting all of the mugshots and documents. The film establishes the thriller genre with the use of a serious and off-putting font. Our Pitch

These are our pitches we came up with for our opening sequence Pitch A: A group of students plan out an innocent camping trip and begin to find out that there is something out there, something watching them the entire time. Pitch B: A family hires a personal chef, the chef sneakily steals items from their house covering his tracks no matter the cost. Pitch A seemed a little cliche to us at first but it was a very feasible idea that could still be loads of fun and really well produced. We found that it would be simpler to use effective music in a thriller as there are loads more films and media work using suspenseful music. We also had a slight plan as to where we would film the sequence, Oleta State Park. We also had the camping equipment necessary for the props and costumes allowing our budgets to be put towards other things.
