Production Blog: Final edits for my Music Video

 Hey bloggers, the time has come where I can final say we fully completed our music video. It was a long process but as always worked out at the end of the day and it came out amazing like I said it would. Me and my group members is now finalizing final edits for the video so we can post it. We were at Constanza's house as we went right after school so we can make our adjustments and brainstorm ideas to make our video a perfection. We added a couple of transitions which one of them was an idea I brought out. I thought about adding a little flashback scene when the girl is in her bed and remembering her young self with her dog. By doing that flashback I made the screen grey and white and added a flash in the beginning and end of the clip. It came just as I imagined which went really well with the song as in the song it says "Once I was 7 years old" signifying the past. The transitions that we included helped the music video play smoothly without any stops. I wanted to add some effects but I ended about not liking the decision as it might have ruined the video. Enzo came with the Idea to add captions but I thought that the video didn't need it as it was understandable and you can notice the purpose of the whole video . To make sure we asked a couple of friends if they can catch on what the music video is about and all of them told us exactly what message the video was giving. Furthermore, at the end of the video we put out the message that we wanted on a black screen and then right after we put the cast and the credits rolling down to the bottom of the screen. One last edit that we made at the end was the colors or the tone of each clip because we wanted to match the mood of each part of the song. As the song got sadder we added dimmer colors and as the song got progressed we used warmer and brighter colors to show the girl is growing up. This was able to make the video pop out and flow with the mood. This editing process took us about an hour or so which was relatively quick as we procrastinate a lot. I felt really accomplished and happy with our results.
