Production Blog: Editing first part of my Music Video

Hello Bloggers, were back once again and as you guys know me and my group finished the first half of the music video. So because of that we wanted to get ahead and work on the editing. We discussed what editing app we will use throughout the whole video. Me and enzo both suggested Capcut as we are already have experience with the tools. However, Constanza insisted to use iMovie as she already has it downloaded on her macbook and she has also a good amount of experience. Also her already having a macbook makes everything so much easier because you can quickly transfer all the clips from her iphone to the macbook as it is connected to each other. So as a group we came along and came into a conclusion to use iMovie. Constanza started transfering all the clips into her computer and inputting it to iMovie. As we know our Music Video is supposed to be 1:10-1:15 minutes long so we started to shorten down each clip. In between each clip we added transition so the video would flow through. Through this process we started having some difficulties. As we inserted all the clips, the time that it gave us was 3:38 seconds. This means that we would have to shorten it 2:27 seconds which is a lot. We have no idea how we were going to achieve this but we just went with the flow and see what the result was. As we were going with the flow, we went step by step and fully edited every single clip we were able to do that day. All we really did throughout this firts part of editing was shorten down the video, add transition, edit what part of the song we were going to use, and take out any background sound in the clip. It took us a pretty long time but we ended up getting through it as we were all working nonstop. It was extremely fustrating because of how irritating it is to edit. Thankfully, we got through the first part of editing which is a reliever and we remained more calm. I have really high hopes that our music video will come out really good and I'm excited to finally see that final results. Title Research: Manhut

 In the film Manhunt they have various titles displayed throughout the opening sequence. These titles include the studio, production company, director and inspiration for the film. The titles also include where the film is taking place. The last title to be shown is the title of the movie itself and then the background changes to a very bright red emphasizing the film title apart from the rest. The images emphasized during the opening sequence are that of terrorists which sets the concept of the movie up and gives the audience an understanding of what they're about to watch. They also show documents that appear to be federal or secretive in the background with more mugshots of terrorist with lines connecting all of the mugshots and documents. The film establishes the thriller genre with the use of a serious and off-putting font. Our Pitch

These are our pitches we came up with for our opening sequence Pitch A: A group of students plan out an innocent camping trip and begin to find out that there is something out there, something watching them the entire time. Pitch B: A family hires a personal chef, the chef sneakily steals items from their house covering his tracks no matter the cost. Pitch A seemed a little cliche to us at first but it was a very feasible idea that could still be loads of fun and really well produced. We found that it would be simpler to use effective music in a thriller as there are loads more films and media work using suspenseful music. We also had a slight plan as to where we would film the sequence, Oleta State Park. We also had the camping equipment necessary for the props and costumes allowing our budgets to be put towards other things.
