Production Blog: Going shopping

 Hello bloggers! Welcome back to another amazing blog. As yall know me and my group have been working on the music video. These past days I've been researching some tips into the items we need for our video. Which includes costumes for the dog, mustache, dog toy, tripod if needed, white wig and maybe a suit. All these items are going to be neccessary. The mustache will most likely be found in party city for a cheap price aswell as the costume of the dog and the white wig. I've also been looking for a tripod as it can be extremely effiecient for our recording. I was going for one that is in the range of $30-$60 as my budget. Me and my group members were discussing a tripod in best buy. I researched online and found one for $31.99. Its the JOBY - GorillaPod 1K SMART Vlogging Tripod - Black/Red/Charcoal. My members had different ideas and we all decided to research seperatly and then we will discuss our findings and choose the most effeicient one. The tripod that I found is in discount and its rated 4.7 stars with 940 reviews. I will mention this to my group partners whenever we meet. We are planning to meet next monday and tuesday as we have an early release on monday and no school on tuesday. We want to start filiming because our next blog is going to be about the recording part of the project. Hopefully by that time we will have everything bought so there is no complications during the filming. We have everything planned too so it can go nice and smoothly. Title Research: Manhut

 In the film Manhunt they have various titles displayed throughout the opening sequence. These titles include the studio, production company, director and inspiration for the film. The titles also include where the film is taking place. The last title to be shown is the title of the movie itself and then the background changes to a very bright red emphasizing the film title apart from the rest. The images emphasized during the opening sequence are that of terrorists which sets the concept of the movie up and gives the audience an understanding of what they're about to watch. They also show documents that appear to be federal or secretive in the background with more mugshots of terrorist with lines connecting all of the mugshots and documents. The film establishes the thriller genre with the use of a serious and off-putting font. Our Pitch

These are our pitches we came up with for our opening sequence Pitch A: A group of students plan out an innocent camping trip and begin to find out that there is something out there, something watching them the entire time. Pitch B: A family hires a personal chef, the chef sneakily steals items from their house covering his tracks no matter the cost. Pitch A seemed a little cliche to us at first but it was a very feasible idea that could still be loads of fun and really well produced. We found that it would be simpler to use effective music in a thriller as there are loads more films and media work using suspenseful music. We also had a slight plan as to where we would film the sequence, Oleta State Park. We also had the camping equipment necessary for the props and costumes allowing our budgets to be put towards other things.
