Production Blog: Finishing Touches

Hey bloggers and welcome back. This is the last blog before submission and Im extremely proud of our progress throughout this whole filming and editing process. It was extremely stressful and time consuming but it was worth it. The last thing we had to do was upload our opening sequence to Vimeo and embed it to the next blog. I thought it would've been a peice of cake but it took longer than I expected. I couldn't login to my account since I forgot my password and it was a whole proccess to be able to recover it. When I got it back I was able to embed it and put it into my blog. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect before submission so I sent it to my group. They then told the frame and quality was messed up. So I went back on Vimeo and tried fixing the issue. I maximized the frame size and increased the quality so it wouldn't look blury in the submission. After that was done I made sure the audio was good and all the dialogue was in perfect volume. The music was i

Production Blog: Minor Tweaks

Hey bloggers! Welcome back. I know its been a while and there is a few updates that I will be announcing to you guys. Throughout this time my group and I had to come up with names for our production company name and the studio. The names we select has to be proffesional and has to correspond to our opening sequence. The production company name was a super easy selection as we came up with Wildlife Productions. Since our filming is mostly in the outdoors and in the woods, Wildlife makes the most sense. Now for our studio name which took suprisingly a while to choose. After a couple of hours brainstorming we ended choosing JENC Studios. The reason behind that choice is that its the first inital of all of our first names and it sounds pretty catchy. We had to add these names into our opening sequence but we didn't want to draw the attention of the audience to the titles. So what we did was we tried to keep it nice and simple not anything too fancy. We did reshot some of the scenes sin

Production Blog: A few things I Haven't Mentioned

Hey Bloggers! Welcome back to another blog. As you may know in my previous blogs I have been making sure this opening sequence is perfect. I've been doing edits and small tweaks that has been bothering me. This blog however is going to be slightly different. This blog will be about certain things I haven't mentioned like how we got the props and the proccess. I will also be talking about the behind the scenes. So first off, we had to pick up certain props before we began filming. The first one we went for was the gorilla suit. We went to Party City to pick it up and we made sure whoever was wearing it won't sufficate. After that we bought this gallon of fake blood since we tried making our own but it didn't end up working out. The gallon of fake blood was super useful since it was easy to put it on the shirt and make the trail of blood. It made the whole scenery super realistic which was perfect. After we got the props we need we started rehearsing. We all had to make

Production Blog: Still Making a Few Edits

Hey bloggers! As you all may know we are so close in finishing our opening sequence. We having completed both of filming sessions which went really well. We then went over it and put the scenes together. After that I got one of my friends to peer review and give me his feedback. With his feedback me and my group went a tweaked the opening sequence and fixed certain flaws. I also went on myself to take a look and see what I can notice that could be fixed. I ended up noticing certain mistakes and made improvements on them. I know last blog I said that there is no more flaws but I decided to look over it today and check it out. I tried to focus more on the pace of each scene and see some things I could cut out. One of the scenes that I noticed was too long was the very first two scenes. The first scene was when Joao was getting up and answering the phone. I cut out the part where he was getting out of the bed because that was unnecessary. I cut the scene when he put the phone died and th

Production Blog: Editing

Hey bloggers welcome back. Today I will be working looking for any other extra edits I could make with the opening sequence. I will be going over what we have right now and see if I can notice any other flaws. It was somewhat difficult to notice anything due to the amount of editing we have done already. But I knew there was something missing so I watched each scene over and over again. One thing I thankfully noticed was how all the text was in the same spot. So I changed the positioning of each title to different corners. I also kept in mind to not blend it with anything from the background so I made sure I played the scene again. Every title was clear to read and it wasn't in the same spot ever scene. Next up I tried adding some transitions with the titles. For example I tried adding like a slide in transition and a slide out transtition to make it look smoother. Obviously I didn't use the same transitions for all of them. Once I added a transition for each one I watched the
