Production Blog: Post card

 Hello bloggers! We are back with another blog and today I have exciting news to provide to you guys. As you guys may think that this blog is about the video, well your wrong. This blog will be about a new addition to this project which is the post card. As we were assigned to make a short film, we are also assigned to make a post card and a website. So to get this started we all met up at Starbucks once again. We love going to Starbucks since it's our study spot and it also helps me focus a lot. Anyways we all sat down and decided to work on the post card. We left the website for another day since it was going to be a lot and we got to Starbucks a little late. So for the post card we had to make sure to add the publish date of the movie which would be March 8th. Then we had to include the productions which was JNC STUDIOS. Another information that we had to provide is different showtime dates which we made up. We also had to make sure that the picture in the post card matches the theme of our short film. So I looked up a picture of a mountain next to a beach so it looks nice and aesthetic. The website that we all used to edit the post card was canvas which helped so much. After some time we stopped to take a break and grab a drink and just chat for a little bit and then we got back to work. We did some finishing touches to the post card to make sure it was perfect. After we reviewed it we finally took a picture of it and saved it. After a long day of working we finally decided to call it a day. Well bloggers thank you for sticking around. Movie Research: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

For the past week the group has been researching various thriller movies, the movie we're researching at the moment is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (TCM) is a long term favorite amongst scare enthusiasts and has touched the hearts of millions of fans. However, the most recent installment of the series is poorly rated by many due to its poor storyline. The TCM is a scary film and has some notable scenes that draw out fear in the audience but lack of interesting storyline makes it bland and unentertaining. The TCM uses tracking shots, close-ups and inserts. The TCM also uses very detailed props and costumes to immerse audiences such as chainsaws and leather masks. The TCM fantastically uses jump scares and music to intensify the film and it truly terrifies the audience. Our Pitch

These are our pitches we came up with for our opening sequence Pitch A: A group of students plan out an innocent camping trip and begin to find out that there is something out there, something watching them the entire time. Pitch B: A family hires a personal chef, the chef sneakily steals items from their house covering his tracks no matter the cost. Pitch A seemed a little cliche to us at first but it was a very feasible idea that could still be loads of fun and really well produced. We found that it would be simpler to use effective music in a thriller as there are loads more films and media work using suspenseful music. We also had a slight plan as to where we would film the sequence, Oleta State Park. We also had the camping equipment necessary for the props and costumes allowing our budgets to be put towards other things.
